Who we are
Bay Area Design Agency is published by Beyond Labs LLC. For privacy questions or requests, email business@beyondlabs.io.
What we collect
- Newsletter sign-ups. Your email address, the date and time, the page you signed up on and the name of this site. We store it in a private Google Sheet in our Google Workspace account.
- Contribution and listing requests. The name, email, company, website and message you type into the contribute form, stored in the same private Google Sheet.
- Email you send us. Your address and message, used only to reply.
- Analytics. If enabled, Plausible Analytics counts page views, referrers and device types in aggregate. It does not use cookies and does not collect personal data.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider may keep standard request logs for security and operation.
We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. We do not use the forms for anything you did not ask for.
Cookies and browser storage
The site does not set cookies and does not store anything in your browser's local storage. Fonts are served from this site, not from a third-party font service.
Why we use it
- To send the newsletter you signed up for. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
- To read and reply to contribution and listing requests.
- To keep the site running and to see which pages are useful.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for marketing.
Who handles it for us
Google (Sheets and Apps Script) stores and processes form submissions on our behalf. Our hosting provider serves the site. Plausible handles analytics if it is switched on. Each has its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep newsletter addresses until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. We keep contribution messages for as long as they are useful for the editorial work they relate to, then delete them.
Legal bases and sharing
We use the information you give us because you asked us to (for example, to send you the newsletter or reply to your message) and because we have a legitimate interest in running and improving the site. We share it only with the service providers listed above, and when the law requires it.
California residents
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. If you live in California, you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and ask us not to treat you differently for doing so. Email business@beyondlabs.io and tell us what you would like.
Your choices
You can ask us to show, correct or delete what we hold about you, or to remove you from the newsletter, by emailing business@beyondlabs.io. We will act on a request within a reasonable time.

Our guides link to other companies and to Noondesk. Links to Noondesk include tracking parameters that identify this site as the source. Other sites have their own privacy practices.
Children
This site is written for business readers and is not directed at children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page.
